SAF ANNOUNCES CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP PROGAM

BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation today announced the creation of a formal Corporate Sponsorship program to be led by SAF Director of Development Ray Carter.

Carter will be tasked with contacting corporate and institutional supporters to build strong alliances to further advance the cause of firearms rights, according to SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan Gottlieb.

The Second Amendment Foundation has done historic work for more than 30 years, restoring and advancing the cause of firearms rights. These advances have not, however, been without cost. As Gottlieb points out, the time has come for the SAF to join other 501(c)(3) organizations in working with corporate and institutional America to forward this oft-neglected civil rights arena.

“As the Gun Rights Policy Conference, educational and publishing endeavors, and the legal advocacy programs of the Second Amendment Foundation grow, so to do the Second Amendment Foundations funding requirements, and as a result, we must expand beyond the SAF’s previous fund-raising comfort zone in order to face the challenges ahead of us,” Carter stated.

SAF will initially offer four levels of sponsorship in the 2012 cycle, with a limited number of sponsorship opportunities available under the program. While all donors will always be welcome, the special benefits available to go to participants in the corporate sponsorship program.

An additional benefit to any donor, sponsor or not, is that contributions to SAF are tax deductible due to the foundation’s 501(c)(3) status.

Carter and Gottlieb both believe the available sponsorships may move quickly, and urge swift action to participate in the 2012 program.
