SAF’S NATIONWIDE TV CAMPAIGN EXTENDED FOR THIRD WEEK

BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation announced this morning it is extending its hugely successful television campaign promoting the “2nd Amendment First Responder” project for a third week, according to SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb.

“Public reception has been gratifying,” Gottlieb said. “Extending the campaign for a third consecutive week is being made possible by the huge funding response from members and donors.”

SAF’s one-minute educational recruiting message for the “2nd Amendment First Responder” project ran 119 times on nearly a dozen networks by the end of its second week. During its upcoming third week, the advertisement will air an additional 80 times, and that includes several new networks and channels including BBC America, Destination America, the Investigation Discovery Channel, American Heroes Channel, SYFY (Science Fiction), TLC (The Learning Channel) and TruTV, along with all the other channels and networks already airing the message: DirecTV, Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, One America News Network, CNBC, HLN, Bloomberg, Dish TV, the Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel.

“By the end of our third week,” Gottlieb said, “our message will have aired almost 200 times, and be seen by millions of Americans who are very concerned about their Second Amendment rights now that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have taken office as president and vice president. We’re talking about decent, hard-working, law-abiding citizens who realize all this talk about ‘unity’ is empty rhetoric from a politician who has spent a career eroding their rights.

“We hope America’s policy makers are paying attention to the overwhelming support we’re seeing for the right to keep and bear arms,” Gottlieb stated. “The hugely positive response we’re getting should show everyone that Biden and Harris do not have a mandate to infringe on the rights of peaceful Americans who only wish to be left alone.

“Yet Biden and Harris have been crystal clear about their gun control and confiscation plans since Day One,” he said. “Biden wants to regulate and tax popular firearms and their magazines under the National Firearms Act, or mandate they be turned in through a so-called ‘gun buyback’ program. That’s just compensated confiscation in disguise and our campaign is obviously having an impact. It is our hope we can raise additional funds to keep this message on the air.”

Gun owners can enlist in the 2nd Amendment First Responder program by texting ‘PROTECT 2A’ to ‘474747’ and gun owners will be able to join this movement immediately.
