SAF’S TV CAMPAIGN GROWS SECOND AMENDMENT MOVEMENT

BELLEVUE, WA – The wildly successful “2nd Amendment First Responder” campaign launched by the Second Amendment Foundation will continue into a fifth straight week with 80 one-minute spots appearing on more than a dozen national television networks beginning Feb. 8.

“By the end of next week,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb, “our 60-second message will have been aired 348 times, reaching millions of people who are keenly interested in protecting the Second Amendment. Right now, we’re the only gun rights organization in the nation running a national TV advertising campaign defending gun rights, and continued positive public response makes this possible.”

The 2nd Amendment First Responder message is designed to engage and grow the number of grassroots activists and further SAF’s educational and legal actions challenging unconstitutional laws and regulations in court, he explained.

“Who is a 2nd Amendment First Responder,” he mused. “They are average American citizen activists who can quickly respond to threats at the local, state or even federal levels, such as packing the courts in order to erode our Second Amendment rights, by providing intelligent arguments and rational alternatives

“Considering the radical gun control legislation introduced by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, and the threat by anti-gun Senator Dick Durbin to make gun control his top priority, it is hardly surprising that so many people have shown interest in our 2nd Amendment First Responder effort,” Gottlieb observed. “Our activists are interested in making a difference, not just a point.”

“We’re developing and educating community organizers across the country,” Gottlieb explained. “We are providing them with intellectual ammunition to win the argument. Based on the response so far, there are legions of men and women of all ages, backgrounds, races and religions who are dedicated to the common cause of protecting the right to keep and bear arms from further erosion.

SAF’s “2nd Amendment First Responder” messages will continue airing on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business, One America News Network, Destination America, Bloomberg, BBC America, the Investigation Discovery Channel, American Heroes Channel, SYFY (Science Fiction), TLC (The Learning Channel), TruTV, DirecTV, The Weather Channel, HLN, Dish TV, CNBC, the Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel.
